托福，你“變”了！7月28日加試，改革前加速沖刺

眾所周知，8月1日開始，托福考試就要開始執行新的考試形式，包括考試時長，題型等都會發生一些變化。近期備考7月28日托福考試的同學們就會比較焦慮，作為托福改革前的最后一次考試，它的難度會是怎樣的?我們在備考上是否需要做一些調整呢?

對于托福考試的難度而言，ETS官方慣用“consistent”這個單詞來形容托福考試近年來的難度變化。它們指出：托福考試在開發方法，衡量方式和考試題型以及應用的學術材料上，都是一致的，并沒有發生變化。所以關于難度的變化，大家不用擔心，改革前的最后一次托福考試和改革之后的第一次考試，并不會發生太大的難度差別。

但是這里我們必須要強調一下托福聽力近期的難度趨勢和備考建議：

因為最近參加托福考試的學員，確實越來越多的人反映，說“托福聽力難度提升了”，那這個感覺是如何產生的呢?

其實，托福聽力的難度一直居高不下。與2017-2018年相比， 2019年的考試一次會有 3-4套題目，這四套題目中的難度不是完全平均的，而且總體的難度都不低，體現在三個方面：

1. 題材：比如學生場景詞不足會覺得微生物題材比哺乳動物題材難;

2. 出題層次不是按照常規套路：會有一些反規律或沒有明顯考點提示詞的題目，對于考點預判制造很大難度，對于分層不熟練的同學經常感覺摸不到頭緒;

3. 選項出的非常 “繞”：也就是混淆度很高，沒有對于題目非常熟悉，沒有經過嚴格培訓，很容易落入出題人的圈套。

所以想要托福聽力立于不敗之地，還是要夯實基礎，跟著優秀的老師，學習方法，加強精聽訓練，系統掌握才能立于不敗之地。

說完聽力，我們再說說閱讀：

我們常見的托福備考方法是：提升詞匯量和長難句的分析能力，了解托福閱讀各個題型的解題方法，然后通過精讀練習來提升閱讀能力和托福閱讀題目的分析能力。

改革之后的托福閱讀每篇10道題，平均做題時間18min每篇。與之前的每篇文章14道題，平均每篇做題時間20min相比，似乎我們的做題時間更多了。但是我們試想一下，如果閱讀文章總體長度不變的前提下，雖然減少了題目，但是同樣我們閱讀文章的時間也變少了，這種情況對于我們的整體閱讀速度要求其實并沒有降低;另外，如果減少的題目都是詞匯題的話，我們的做題壓力反而會更大，因為做每道詞匯題的平均時間不會超過20sec。所以即便是題目減少了，時間縮短了，我們在備考托福閱讀的時候，仍然需要提升詞匯的熟練度，進而提高閱讀速度，并且強化文章細節的理解能力和文章主旨的歸納總結能力。所以根據上述分析，在托福閱讀備考方面，目前的新政并不會產生太大影響。

But at some other universities, experts are hired to make these decisions and students are almost never involved. Which approach do you prefer and why?
